Luxury on
the River

The Meramec River home on the hill resides within a park-like area that terraces down from the house to the river 35 feet below. Its style is probably best called "country casual". It has been remodeled to take maximum advantage of the beautiful views from all sides of the home while blending into the landscape. The house exterior materials were chosen for easy maintenance in the riverside environment

A stone paver walkway, through gardens planned to provide blooming color through the spring and summer months, leads to the large deck and front door. The deck is a covered, 14x40 foot veranda which faces the river and is ideal for entertaining a dozen, or more guests.

To the back of the house, there is more than an acre of level ground that has been seeded with local grasses and maintained as an open area for outdoor games, playing with the dogs, or just enjoying the sun. One of the little known advantages of riverfront property over other waterfront settings is the lack of mosquitos since the running water creates no breeding grounds.

Inside the home, there is ample living area on the first floor with spacious living room, dining room, kitchen, e-commerce design studio, laundry room, and adjacent store rooms. A special feature of the home is the circular traffic flow that allows visual access to the extra-large window views from all sides of the home. Bedrooms, sitting rooms, and baths are upstairs and kept comfortable by a recently installed high efficiency HVAC unit from Carrier.

There is a two-car garage, a rarity with other homes along the river, but an essential component for year-round residency
